PROJECT MANAGEMENT
What do Agile and PMBOK both have in common?
Accountability...
I like Kanban charts for organizing teams, priorities, or iterative projects, and Gantt charts for time-bound or linear projects. In my experience however, the most important components of a successful project are clearly defined goals, consistent communication with all stakeholders, and accountability. Striving to improve my knowledge in the field, I am currently working my way through a CompTIA Project+ textbook, and am considering further credentials in Agile or PMBOK management techniques Summer 2019.
My most recent project was building a system to leverage VoCE feedback from 280 staff and 80,000 members at Blue Federal Credit Union. I strengthened survey programs and developed sentiment/theme reports for each management layer. I upgraded CRM functions and improved staff training modules, built a closed loop process for responding to VoC surveys, and designed a website for capturing VoE process improvements. Additionally, I led a 10-member team of analysts and executives to implement strategic CX enhancements, which included numerous upgrades to online banking functions and digital user experiences. Though I've never built a skyscraper or nuclear submarine, I can get things done with limited resources and direction, and am working to improve my project management skills every day.
